Jiou Chu Dumplings - Rowland Heights: Reviews & Ratings
If you’re looking for just some simple for lunch. Here is a good choice for you. The dumplings are super cute and crispy skin, different type dumplings have different colors which is very thoughtful. Of course , don’t forget to order the fried squid. All they taste so so so delicious! Unfortunately, except dumplings, noodles, few vegetables….., not too many choices. If you come with big group, maybe not right place. Good to try!
In the area and went in for lunch. Recognized the 85 degrees Bakery logo and wanted to see how tasty the soup dumplings are. We ordered some of the most common dishes and it was pretty good. The wrapping of the soup dumplings is a bit thicker, but it's packed with great flavors and lots of soup. The beef wrap has lots green onions and cilantro. The pan fried dumplings have lots of soup wrapped inside and are pretty flavorful. It's worth another visit when in the area again.
One of the great dumpling franchise from Taiwan. Come early to avoid crowd. Food can be ordered by scanning the QR code placed on the table. The ordering website has full description and pictures of the food. The atmosphere is nice for friends and family gathering. The staff noticed it's our first time and lead us in every steps and made excellent suggestions of what to order. All in all, it was a positive experience.
What a surprise, I am picky about my Dim Sum but this place is delicious and the service was great- shout out to Stephen. I am a beer roll nerd and they were awesome, the soup dumplings were amazing and everything was delicious ! Plenty of parking out front. Mango dessert was silky smooth.
Good service. Lunch Combo has a very good price compared to others. Food is decent but not authentic. Recommend Chives & Pork Dumplings and Noodles with Minced Pork & Sesame Paste. Winter Melon Tea is also good in my opinion. Probably one of the places will be back because of cheaper prices for lunch.
Ji Chou, a relatively new Taiwanese restaurant in Rowland Heights, is created by the same group behind 85C Bakery. It has a small bakery counter but is mostly a dine-in restaurant serving traditional Taiwanese cuisine. Located in a bustling plaza so parking can get hard to find. They had a hiccup with the check-in kiosk when we went, but staff was responsive and making a reservation was pretty easy. Prices are reasonable, especially when sharing dishes. Standouts include the popular xiao long bao (arrive early to snag them! They were sold out by dinner when we went on a random Thursday night), flavorful string beans, and dumplings with crispy bottoms. Keep in mind that meat dishes tend to lean towards the sweeter side, like the beef noodle and beef roll. Save room for dessert! Their mango sago cup was amazing.. Overall, Ji Chou Dumplings is a great spot for those craving Taiwanese comfort food.
A Taiwanese pork dumpling spot by 85° Bakery. Wonderfully juicy pork dumpling. Their beef roll is also great too. Restaurant is well managed and clean. It's a great spot for a brunch! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Ordered three items for dinner. The cons: the soup dumplings were luke warm. It was cold in no time. The wife and I did not care for the beef noodle broth. The pros: plenty of soup in the dumpling. The beef and tendon were tender. The noodles have some chew to it. The fried rice with pork was the star. The fried pork was spot on. The taste, flavor, and tenderness were great.
